Parish of Plymstock and Hooe

Our Parish is part of the Church of England in the Diocese of Exeter.

On Sunday 4th January we will celebrate the coming of the Wise Men - Epiphany. This marks the start of a series of events that led the Holy Family to flee from Bethlehem to Egypt, in the process, becoming refugees.

At our 10 am service we are replacing our Sermon and other parts of the service with a short play about the journey of the Magi, based on TS Eliot's poem 'The Coming of the Magi' interspersed by poems and stories of modern day refugees.

Proceeds from tomorrow's collection will go to DCRS (Devon and Cornwall Refugee Support), with whom some of our congregations are involved as volunteers.
